Sources confirmed Tuesday that NBC has officially halted production on low-rated new comedy “Sean Saves the World.”<\/p>\n
A ratings disaster from its first episode, “Sean” had no chance of a second season. That it survived more than a few weeks, in fact, speaks to the poor state of NBC’s comedy lineup.<\/p>\n
Save for the premiere and one that aired after a special “The Voice,” no episode of the Sean Hayes vehicle attracted more than 4 million viewers. The most recent telecast drew just 2.58 million with an abysmal 0.7 adults 18-49 rating.<\/p>\n
The production stoppage comes as “Sean” was completing a five episode “back” order it received midway through the season (to supplement the thirteen that have already aired).
