Now an undeniable member of the million sales club, Beyonce rode an impressive second week of release to another dominant victory on the Billboard 200.<\/p>\n
According to the publication, “Beyonce,” the pop culture icon’s surprise visual album, moved another 374,000 copies in the week ending 12\/22. Combined with the 617,000 sales it scored in its first three days of release, the album’s total going into this week, which included the last two days of pre-Christmas shopping, was 991,000.<\/p>\n
As the album has surely moved another 9,000 since Sunday, it has surely passed the million mark.<\/p>\n
Of the 374,000 copies moved in week two, 235,000 came from digital retailers.<\/p>\n
As with last week, the presence of “Beyonce” assured Garth Brooks’ “Blame it All on My Roots” could not hit number one. The Wal-Mart exclusive did, however, add another 199,000 sales for a second place finish and a cumulative total of 681,000.<\/p>\n
Priced at $24.96, the boxed set had technically earned more revenue<\/i> than the Beyonce album as of 12\/22.<\/p>\n
Other top five finishers included One Direction’s “Midnight Memories” (166,000), The Robertsons’ “Duck the Halls” (132,000) and Kelly Clarkson’s “Wrapped in Red” (124,000). Having reached 954,000 by the close of tracking Sunday, the 1D album, like the Beyonce album, has almost certainly crossed the million mark this week.<\/p>\n
BoB’s “Underground Luxury,” the week’s only major new release, moved a soft 35,000.<\/p>\n
