The wheels–well, the metaphorical wheels–are officially in motion for Marshall’s (Jason Segel) reunion with the gang on “How I Met Your Mother.”<\/p>\n
That final stretch of the journey, which began in the closing moments of this week’s rhyming “Bedtime Stories” episode, will come to a close in the winter “finale” on December 16.<\/p>\n
After his bus endured a flat tire, Marshall was left stranded five miles away from the home of Barney and Robin’s wedding at Farhampton Inn. Committed to finally rejoining his wife and the rest of the central group, Marshall decided to trek the remainder with young son Marvin in arms.<\/p>\n
Based on CBS’ official teaser for December 16’s “Bass Player Wanted,” one episode (next week’s “The Rehearsal Dinner”) separates the beginning and end of those journeys.<\/p>\n
In addition to featuring Marshall’s arrival, “Bass Player Wanted” also features “The New Normal”‘s Andrew Rannells as Darren, a troublemaking wedding guest.<\/p>\n
