The voting deadline has arrived, and Matthew Schuler was the only contestant to claim the 5x iTunes Multiplier Bonus.<\/p>\n

Schuler’s “Hallelujah,” which secured the bonus by entering the iTunes Top Ten less than three hours after voting opened, reached as high as number two by the close of voting at 11AM.<\/p>\n

Jacquie Lee’s “Love is Blindness,” which fell short of the top ten, was the only other recording to reach the top twenty. Cole Vosbury’s “Adorn,” Will Champlin’s “Demons” and Ray Boudreaux’s “All of Me” completed the weekly top five.<\/em>

That was fast.<\/p>\n

“The Voice” fans have repeatedly made clear their willingness to mirror contestants’ efforts. When contestants deliver compelling performances, viewers respond by buying the recordings en masse.<\/p>\n

And when a contestant epitomizes the word showstopper the way Matthew Schuler did Monday, fans epitomize the word ferocity with their purchasing.<\/p>\n

It took them just over two hours to drive Schuler’s “Hallelujah” into the iTunes Top 10 and secure the Team Christina contestant his first 5x multiplier of the season.<\/p>\n

Because the voting period remains open until 11AM, it is far too early to determine whether Schuler’s performance will be the only Top 12 number to receive the iTunes multiplier. But if the performance maintains its rapid download rate, by the time any other contestants’ song is flirting with entry into the Top 10, Schuler’s number could be flirting with the chart’s apex.<\/p>\n

At press time (1AM ET), Schuler’s single had ascended to number 9 on the charts. Jacquie Lee’s “Love is Blindness” followed at 35, while Cole Vosbury’s “Adorn” (52), Ray Boudreaux’s “All of Me” (58) and Will Champlin’s “Demons” (67) were also gaining some traction.<\/p>\n
