Making the monster “Breaking Bad” finale ratings look like child’s play, AMC’s “The Walking Dead” began its fourth season on an enormous high note. The program, which drew the aforementioned 8.2 rating, attracted a whopping 16.1 million viewers.<\/p>\n
The strong performance, a record for the series and network, naturally aided post-show “Talking Dead” in achieving its own record. That broadcast, hosted by Chris Hardwick, averaged 2.6 rating with 5.1 million viewers.<\/p>\n
Worth noting is that AMC’s series posted this enormous ratings high against a well-rated NFL game between the Washington Redskins and Dallas Cowboys. Collectively, they proved the notion that “no one watches TV on TV anymore” to be false.
