Update:<\/b> The fast national ratings could not brighten NBC’s Thursday nightmare.<\/p>\n

All three of NBC’s new comedies sank to scary levels.<\/p>\n

Following a low-rated “Parks & Recreation” (1.2 adults 18-49 rating, 3.3 million), newcomer “Welcome to the Family” slipped to a disastrous 0.8 with 2.5 million.<\/p>\n

Considering its loftier expectations, “Sean Saves the World”‘s 1.0 with 3.3 million viewers might represent even worse news. “The Michael J. Fox Show” was down to an atrocious 1.2 with 3.9 million.<\/p>\n

Any stability “Parenthood” seemed to be showing went out the window Thursday. The show disappointed at 10PM with a 1.2 and 3.8 million viewers.<\/em>

Last week’s ratings for the premiere of “Sean Saves the World” and third episode of “The Michael J. Fox Show” gave NBC a rude awakening: today’s television viewers do not see Sean Hayes and Michael J. Fox as major draws.<\/p>\n

This week’s numbers offer something even more damming: these series are simply not working.<\/p>\n

According to TV Media Insights, both “Sean” and “Fox” were down considerably in the overnights.<\/p>\n

“Sean Saves the World,” which was already endangered by virtue of its soft premiere numbers, fell by 38% to a mere 2.3 overnight metered market number. Considering last week’s episode only delivered a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating, the dramatic dip in the overnight foretells doom when this week’s demo rating hits the news circuit.<\/p>\n

“The Michael J. Fox Show,” meanwhile, traded a hefty 34% of its prior week’s overnight for a disappointing 2.5 metered market rating.<\/p>\n

Earlier in the night, NBC’s low-rated pair of “Parks and Recreation” (2.3) and newcomer “Welcome to the Family” (1.9) also looked dismal.<\/p>\n
