When it comes to the album sales game, everyone knows this week’s release belongs to Miley Cyrus and her new album “Bangerz.”<\/p>\n
Set to move at least 250,000 copies in its opener, “Bangerz” will dethrone Justin Timberlake’s “The 20\/20 Experience Part 2” while also dominating all newcomers.<\/p>\n
But several of those newcomer albums come from noteworthy artists with buzz of their own, and the combination will result in a mixed bag of sales results.<\/p>\n
Following Cyrus’ album, Panic! at the Disco’s “Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die” looks to be the next-biggest debut. Based on early sales traction, Hits Daily Double forecasts a bow in the 90-100,000 range.<\/p>\n
That will likely be enough to fend off competition from Pusha T, whose “My Name is My Name” looks set to move 75-80,000.<\/p>\n
She–and her debut album “Frame by Frame”–garnered significantly more buzz than the two “The Voice” winners who preceded her, but Cassadee Pope will not make too much of a splash on the album charts. Estimate show her album will move a modest 40-45,000. While not bad for a country debut, the total is underwhelming given the hope that Pope would be the first “Voice” winner to transform her exposure on the show into vast commercial success.<\/p>\n
