Talk about making a show sweat.<\/p>\n
Though “The Bridge” has not electrified the ratings game, it has performed consistently and compared favorably to fellow FX series “The Americans” since premiering this July.<\/p>\n
But unlike “The Americans,” which received news of a second season renewal early into its run, “The Bridge” had aired eleven episodes without such an announcement from FX.<\/p>\n
That good news finally came Tuesday. On the eve of its twelfth episode (and, ironically, a week after broadcasting its least-watched episode to date), “The Bridge” has secured a thirteen-episode renewal for next summer.<\/p>\n
