As the most successful summer song since Mariah Carey’s 2005 smash “We Belong Together,” “Blurred Lines” unsurprisingly reigns as Billboard’s top song of the 2013 summer season.<\/p>\n
Robin Thicke’s “Lines,” which features Pharrell and TI, spent twelve weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 en route to its dominant summer 2013 reign. It was not until this week that the song ceded its top position to Katy Perry’s “Roar,” and in doing so, it still only slipped to number two.<\/p>\n
It was never the top overall song in America, but Imagine Dragons’ persistent “Radioactive” claimed the number two position on Billboard’s Songs of Summer chart, topping Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky (featuring Pharrell)” and Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop.”<\/p>\n
Having peaked at the very beginning of the summer season, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’ smash “Can’t Hold Us (featuring Ray Dalton)” settled for fifth on the chart, topping Florida Georgia Lines’ “Cruise (featuring Nelly),” Justin Timberlake’s “Mirrors,” Bruno Mars’ “Treasure,” Anna Kendrick’s “Cups” and Selena Gomez’ “Come and Get It.”<\/p>\n
