Capping off a clever social marketing campaign, ABC rewarded its passionate social media “gladiators” with a first look at the third season “Scandal” poster.<\/p>\n
Making good on its promise to deliver the poster in exchange for 10,000 Re-Tweets, the ABC series revealed the season three graphic late Monday.<\/p>\n
A close-up of Emmy-nominated Kerry Washington’s profile, the tagline notes “The Secret is Out.”<\/p>\n
Among other cliffhangers and reveals, the show’s buzzworthy second season ended with news of the secret affair between Olivia Pope (Washington) and President Fitzgerald “Fitz” Grant (Tony Goldwyn) going public. Season three picks up in the aftermath of that major development.<\/p>\n
Given the manner in which buzz–and ratings–exploded during season two of “Scandal,” the tagline could also refer to the fact that “Scandal” is no longer a middling drama but a major pop culture smash.<\/p>\n
