{"id":18119,"date":"2013-05-21T03:59:50","date_gmt":"2013-05-21T03:59:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/headlineplanet.com\/home\/?p=18119"},"modified":"2013-05-21T03:59:50","modified_gmt":"2013-05-21T03:59:50","slug":"fox-reveals-kelly-rowland-paulina-rubio-as-new-x-factor-judges","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/headlineplanet.com\/home\/2013\/05\/21\/fox-reveals-kelly-rowland-paulina-rubio-as-new-x-factor-judges\/","title":{"rendered":"FOX Reveals Kelly Rowland, Paulina Rubio as New &#8220;X Factor&#8221; Judges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Despite introducing megastar judges like Britney Spears and Mariah Carey, neither FOX&#8217;s &#8220;The X Factor&#8221; nor &#8220;American Idol&#8221; could boost ratings this past season.<\/p>\n<p>Next season, it appears that at least &#8220;The X Factor&#8221; is going in a different direction.<\/p>\n<p>FOX officially confirmed Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio as judges for season three of &#8220;The X Factor.&#8221; \u00a0Replacing the departing Britney Spears and Antonio &#8220;LA&#8221; Reid, they join returning judges Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato on the panel.<\/p>\n<p>Far from unknown, neither is a major attraction by water cooler standards. \u00a0Both, however, have strong followings and resumes of success and could theoretically fit well in with the &#8220;X Factor&#8221; format.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It\u2019s taken more than a decade, but I\u2019m delighted to finally be on a panel with three girls. Paulina and Kelly both have great taste and massive experience in the music industry and together with Demi, this is going to be a fun panel. It just feels like the time to do something different,&#8221; said Simon Cowell.<\/p>\n<p>Former Destiny&#8217;s Child member Rowland, who judged on the UK version of &#8220;The X Factor,&#8221; added, &#8220;\u201cI am very excited to be reuniting with Simon Cowell and THE X FACTOR family&#8230;It feels great to be able to take this journey here at home in the states!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Rubio, meanwhile, noted, \u201cI love THE X FACTOR! I can\u2019t wait to find the next big music star here in America. \u00a0I\u2019m so thrilled to be part of the show as a judge.
