Fans who rejoiced over recent news that The CW renewed “Nikita” will unfortunately have to curb their enthusiasm.<\/p>\n
The network confirmed Thursday that its recent order will give the show a final, six-episode run.\u00a0 That greatly abbreviated fourth season will launch at midseason.<\/p>\n
Elsewhere, the smallest of the five major broadcast networks made a number of changes to its schedule, shifting series like “Hart of Dixie,” “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Carrie Diaries” and “Supernatural.”<\/p>\n
It also booked “Vampire Diaries” spin-off “The Originals” for Tuesdays, new series “The Tomorrow People” for the post-“Arrow” slot on Wednesdays and “Reign” for Thursdays.\u00a0 “Star-Crossed,” “The 100” and “Famous in 12” will debut at midseason.<\/p>\n
