<\/p>\nSince “The Big Bang Theory” found a comfortable home on Thursdays, one question has lingered within the television industry: when would CBS add another hour of comedy to the evening.<\/p>\n
Once reports broke that CBS was picking up a number of new comedies for this season, it became obvious that the answer was in 2013-14.<\/p>\n
Sure enough, CBS’ official scheduling announcement confirms that the network will move “Person of Interest” to Tuesday at 10PM and open the 9PM Thursday slot for more comedy.<\/p>\n
“Big Bang” will stay put at 8 but now lead into new series “The Millers.”\u00a0 “The Crazy Ones” gets a key position at 9PM, while veteran “Two and a Half Men” slides back to 9:30PM.<\/p>\n
CBS’ Monday comedy block, meanwhile, will stay intact.\u00a0 “How I Met Your Mother” continues to open the night, but it will be followed this year by “We Are Men,” not “Mom,” as most had predicted.\u00a0 “Mom” will instead air out of “2 Broke Girls” at 9:30PM, pushing “Mike & Molly” aside till midseason.\u00a0 New drama “Hostages” (and later “Intelligence”) take over the 10PM slot, sending “Hawaii 5-0” to Fridays.<\/p>\n

MOM is a comedy from executive producer Chuck Lorre starring Anna Faris as a newly sober single mom raising two children in a world full of temptations and pitfalls, and multiple Emmy Award winner Allison Janney as her critical, estranged mother. \u00a0Christy (Faris) is a waitress at a posh Napa Valley establishment who is four months clean and doing her best to be a good mom and overcome a history of questionable choices. Her sobriety is tested when Bonnie (Janney), her recovering alcoholic mom, reappears chock-full of passive-aggressive insights into Christy\u2019s many mistakes. Bonnie joins Christy\u2019s already complicated circle of relationships: her handsome, married boss \u2013 and lover \u2013 Gabriel (Nate Corddry); the restaurant\u2019s hot-tempered chef, Rudy (French Stewart); her pretty, 16-going-on-25-year-old daughter, Violet (Sadie Calvano); her sweet but overly honest son, Roscoe (Blake Garrett Rosenthal); her irresponsible ex-husband and Roscoe\u2019s father, Baxter (Matt Jones); and Violet\u2019s clueless boyfriend, Luke (Spencer Daniels).
