Last week, Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” tied Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” to rank as the longest-reigning #1 hit in Billboard Hot 100 history.<\/p>\n

This week, it earns the sole claim over that distinction.<\/p>\n

The song indeed spends a twenty-third week as the hottest overall song in America, setting a new longevity record. It does while remaining a force in the sales (#1 for sales this week), streaming (#1 for streams this week), and radio (#2 for radio this week) factors that define Hot 100 placement.<\/p>\n

Without obvious competition in the current tracking period, “Choosin’ Texas” seemingly has a clear path to a 24th week on top.
