Following-up on Headline Planet’s report, pop radio stations indeed enthusiastically spin songs from Taylor Swift’s new album “The Life Of A Showgirl” throughout Friday.<\/p>\n
Every song received considerable airplay from dozens of stations; top supporters like 102.7 KIIS Los Angeles and 95.9 KISS Wisconsin played each track at least six times.<\/p>\n
Five songs, meanwhile, appear in the Top 50 on Mediabase’s building\/real-time chart for the pop format. The current building chart ranks songs based on the first six days<\/i> of the September 28-October 4 tracking period; the Swift songs, of course, only entered the market late on the fifth day of the tracking period.<\/p>\n
“The Fate of Ophelia” leads the way at #32 with 1,501 spins. “The Life Of A Showgirl (featuring Sabrina Carpenter)” follows at #42 with 405 plays, while “Opalite” starts at #44 with 346. “Elizabeth Taylor” (#48, 307) and “Wi$h Li$t” (#49, 269) are also on the building chart.<\/p>\n
Showcasing the Top 40 for the full September 28-October 4 tracking period, the official Mediabase pop chart will arrive Sunday.
