Amid various media reports of its cancellation, “BUCKWILD” cast member Cara Parrish confirmed that MTV has decided to “stop filming” the show.<\/p>\n
“For now @MTV has decided to stop filming Buckwild but we are looking into other show options in order to keep doing what Shain would want,” the show’s “firecracker” wrote on Twitter.<\/p>\n
TMZ first reported the cancellation Tuesday evening, noting, “Sources connected to the show tell us MTV decided to stop production in the middle of the second season of the show … which followed the lives of young people in a rural West Virginia town.”<\/p>\n
According to TMZ’s report, while MTV is not planning to air the already-filmed second season content, “a special that was taped 2 months ago is expected to air.”<\/p>\n
“Despite having enough footage for several new episodes, MTV executives couldn\u2019t see anyway to continue with the series without Gandee,” added Deadline.com.<\/p>\n
