Several weeks ago, word broke that all five principal cast members agreed to return for a ninth season of “How I Met Your Mother,” which effectively guaranteed a renewal from CBS.<\/p>\n
But no official announcement came, which caused some industry analysts to speculate if there were more, previously-unreported hurdles to overcome.<\/p>\n
The answer to that question is now meaningless; CBS finally confirmed “How I Met Your Mother” will return for its final season next year.<\/p>\n
