Strong radio presence and a seemingly-endless supply of catchy singles is keeping her profile high, but as far as album sales go, Ke$ha’s newest release is far from an “Animal.”<\/p>\n
“Warrior,” her sophomore LP, is tracking for 80-85,000 first-week sales, according to Hits Daily Double. While a respectable bow for a pop album, that projected tally is down significantly from the 152,000 figure attained by “Animal” in its January 2010 debut.<\/p>\n
The modest interest in “Warrior” assures Wiz Khalifa’s “ONIFC” will debut as the hottest new release. But with a projected opening week total of 135-145,000, the Khalifa album will also be down from its predecessor; “Rolling Papers,” on the power of “Black & Yellow,” moved 197,000 copies in its 2011 bow.<\/p>\n
