Peyton Manning’s first Monday Night Football game as a Denver Bronco helped the sports broadcast dominate the cable ratings, leaving shows like WWE’s “Monday Night RAW” in the dust.<\/p>\n
Even with the “controversy” from Night of Champions pushed as reason to tune in, RAW only generated a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating and 4.05 million viewers Monday.<\/p>\n
Though the rating and viewership were technically down only slightly from last week’s showing, any drop is disappointing for a post-PPV edition of RAW.<\/p>\n
The show’s viewership trajectory was also disappointing; in addition to attracting its weakest viewership in the once-marquee 10PM hour, this week’s episode did not even benefit from the strong 9PM that has become par for the three-hour RAW course.<\/p>\n
After opening at 4.11 million for the 8PM hour, viewership only rose to 4.12 million at 9PM and then fell to a paltry 3.9 million at 10PM.<\/p>\n
