Based on opening day sales, Hits Daily Double forecasts only 25-30,000 first week sales for the album, which would be a sharp decline from “All Things Bright and Beautiful.” That album, which did not include any major hit singles, opened to 48,000 first week sales early last summer.<\/p>\n
Previous album “Ocean Eyes,” led by Owl City’s breakout smash “Fireflies,” did not have a strong opening week but ended up going platinum thanks to a far longer shelf life than “Midsummer” is likely to enjoy.<\/p>\n
