Based on the including of “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version)” in the trailer for “Spirit Untamed,” many fans assumed that Taylor Swift would be releasing “1989” as her next re-recorded album.<\/p>\n
That assumption proved incorrect, as Swift announced Friday that the next album she will be releasing is “Red (Taylor’s Version).”<\/p>\n
The new take on Swift’s beloved 2012 album will consist of “all 30 songs that were meant to go on ‘Red'” (presumably the full set of original tracks, plus a handful of bonus tracks and\/or rarities). Swift’s announcement adds that one of the songs is ten minutes long; the assumption is that she is referring to the 10-minute version of widely acclaimed album standout “All Too Well.”<\/p>\n
Swift’s statement does not include any additional specifics, but she does note that she experimented with “different sounds and collaborators.”<\/p>\n
“Red” follows the recently launched “Fearless” as Swift’s second “Taylor’s Version” re-recording. In the coming months\/years, Swift will be releasing new versions for each of her first six albums.<\/p>\n
