There is not yet any indication that the Houston Rockets will be able to lure Jeremy Lin away from the New York Knicks, but regardless of how that situation shakes out, the Rockets are content waving goodbye to Goran Dragic.<\/p>\n
Houston Rockets’ general manager Daryl Morley Tweeted early Thursday morning, “Best of luck to @Goran_Dragic — great player & great person. He will be missed.”<\/p>\n
All indications are that the team simply did not see Dragic as worth the four-year, $34 million contract he inked with the Phoenix Suns, who have locked Dragic in as a replacement for departing point guard Steve Nash.<\/p>\n
As for Jeremy Lin, Yahoo! was among the sources (common sense being another one) to report that the Rockets offered breakout Knicks point guard and former Rocket Jeremy Lin a back-loaded, multi-year deal that would put luxury tax pressure on the New York franchise down the road.<\/p>\n
