NBC’s quirky comedy garnered the top comedy prize at the second annual Critics Choice Television Awards Monday, solidifying its status as the most acclaimed half hour on television. Showtime’s breakout drama “Homeland” won the drama prize.<\/p>\n
Though “Community” won the overall comedy prize, its individual performances did not rival those from other series. The body awarded “Louie” star Louis CK the outstanding lead actor award for comedy, while “Parks and Recreation”‘s Amy Poehler won for actress. “Modern Family” stars Ty Burrell and Julie Bowen claimed the supporting awards for comedy, just as they did at last year’s Emmy ceremony.<\/p>\n
