{"id":13442,"date":"2011-11-25T15:21:00","date_gmt":"2011-11-25T20:21:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.headlineplanet.com\/home\/?p=13442"},"modified":"2011-11-25T15:21:00","modified_gmt":"2011-11-25T20:21:00","slug":"twilight-wins-thanksgiving-box-office-muppets-hugo-follow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/headlineplanet.com\/home\/2011\/11\/25\/twilight-wins-thanksgiving-box-office-muppets-hugo-follow\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8220;Twilight&#8221; Wins Thanksgiving Box Office, &#8220;Muppets,&#8221; &#8220;Hugo&#8221; Follow"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part One&#8221; remains the film to beat the box office, but &#8220;The Muppets&#8221; and &#8220;Hugo&#8221; also found themselves on the radar this Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n<p>After starting with a second-place $6.6 million on Wednesday, &#8220;Muppets&#8221; fell to $5.9 million for second on Thursday, behind the $7.8 million for &#8220;Breaking Dawn.&#8221;  Given the hype, the presumed-nostalgia effect and the great reviews, this cannot be considered a huge win for the latest &#8220;Muppets&#8221; revival, but there at least does appear to be an audience that will give it a decent-enough opening splash.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Hugo,&#8221; meanwhile, scored $2.3 million on 1,277 screens, building on its $1.7 million from Wednesday.
