Thanksgiving Eve is always a tough night from a ratings standpoint–so much so that it is unclear why some networks do not abandon their original programming for the night.<\/p>\n
Most shows were at season lows Wednesday, with “The X Factor” sinking to a mere 2.5 adults 18-49 rating with 8.5 million viewers for its results show. One should not take the low too seriously, although the fact that it tied ABC’s comedy hour (“The Middle” at 2.5 with 9.1 million, “Suburgatory” at 2.5 with 8.3 million) is not a positive.<\/p>\n
Lead-out “Mobbed” did not perform nearly as well as it did when it followed “American Idol” last year. It was good for just a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating and 4.7 million. Suffice it to say, “Mobbed” is no phenomenon.<\/p>\n
ABC programmed opposite “Mobbed” with “Modern Family” (down to a still-dominant 4.5 and 12.6 million) and “Happy Endings” (2.7 with 7.2 million).<\/p>\n
“Revenge” followed with a mere 2.1 and 7.2 million.<\/p>\n
