Strong reviews and the most extensive media coverage afforded to any single episode of a comedy this season could only help create a minor bounce for FOX’s fading “Glee.”<\/p>\n
The show advanced to a 3.1 adults 18-49 rating with 6.9 million viewers, a gain over last week in the demo but still a far cry from the show’s peak. At this point, “Glee” is effectively back to where it started in the fall of 2009, meaning it has squandered all the buzz and hype it generated over its first two seasons (including an airing after last year’s record-setting Super Bowl).<\/p>\n
Airing out of “Glee,” “New Girl” was down to a still-solid 3.5 adults 18-49 rating with 6.8 million viewers. Given how well “New Girl” premiered in September, the drop is disappointing, although prior to the far-better-than-expected debut, this kind of performance would be considered healthy for the Zooey Deschanel-starrer.<\/p>\n
“Raising Hope” disappointed with a mere 2.1 and 4.6 million viewers at 9:30PM.<\/p>\n
Over on CBS, “NCIS” now firmly stands tall over “Glee” in total viewers and<\/i> the demo.
