“American Horror Story” continued its quest towards “hit” status Wednesday, advancing to a series high for part one of its Halloween special.<\/p>\n
The FX horror series garnered a healthy 1.7 adults 18-49 rating with 3.0 million viewers to win the cable ratings race. It seems viewers are getting hooked on the show, which continues building its thought-provoking mythology and escaping the “shock-a-minute” vibe of the polarizing first episode.<\/p>\n
In other Halloween-themed news, USA’s “Psych” rose to a healthy 1.1 rating with 3.3 million viewers. One would assume the special Halloween episode was responsible for boosting numbers, although last week’s tremendous “Hangover”-themed segment also played a likely part in keeping viewers hooked.<\/p>\n
