“Descendants” and “The Perfectionists” star Sofia Carson hosted Sunday’s live ARDYs: A Radio Disney Music Celebration on Disney Channel.<\/p>\n

A constant presence throughout the show, Carson opened the event with a medley of hits like “ME!,” “Boy With Luv,” and “Old Town Road.”<\/p>\n

Prior to that opening number, she made waves on the show’s red carpet — and in the press area.<\/p>\n

Previously known as the Radio Disney Music Awards, Sunday’s show marked a rebrand for the franchise. In addition to the new name and live broadcast, Sunday’s show forewent the traditional “awards show” component in favor of a greater emphasis on performances.<\/p>\n
