Upfront week continues with FOX revealing its initial plan for the 2019-20 season.<\/p>\n
The network’s fall schedule includes some noteworthy moves. “The Resident” and “Empire,” as an example, are moving to Tuesday. Per FOX, the upcoming sixth season of “Empire” will be its final season.<\/p>\n
New series “Prodigal Son” will now join “9-1-1” on Mondays, while the debuting “Not Just Me” will move into the post-“Masked Singer” slot on Wednesdays.<\/p>\n
FOX also made an expected move official: “WWE SmackDown! Live” will be airing on Fridays, beginning with its official FOX premiere on October 4.<\/p>\n
FOX’s announcement also includes some midseason plans. After airing its second season in the fall of 2019, “The Masked Singer” will return for a third season in February. Said season will begin with a post-Super Bowl premiere.<\/p>\n
New series “9-1-1: Lone Star,” “Deputy,” “Filthy Rich,” “neXt,” “Outmatched,” “Ultimate Tag,” and “Duncanville” are also set for midseason launches. “The Great North” will premiere at some point in 2020.<\/p>\n
Returning series “Last Man Standing” and “The Orville” are also set for midseason bows.<\/p>\n

From writer\/executive producer Lon Zimmet (\u201cLA to Vegas\u201d) comes OUTMATCHED, a multi-camera family comedy about a blue-collar couple in Atlantic City trying to raise four kids \u2013 three of whom just happen to be certified geniuses. For most parents, parenting is hard. But for CAY (Maggie Lawson, \u201cLethal Weapon,\u201d \u201cPsych\u201d), a caustic, take-no-prisoners casino pit boss, and husband MIKE (Jason Biggs, \u201cOrange Is the New Black,\u201d the \u201cAmerican Pie\u201d franchise), a handyman and uncultivated guy\u2019s guy, parenting may as well be advanced calculus. Dealing with the demands and egos of three high-IQ children would be tricky for any parent, but it\u2019s especially hazardous for two working stiffs who barely got through high school. Mike and Cay are committed to bringing some normalcy to their kids\u2019 hectic, unconventional childhoods, but these geniuses don\u2019t make it easy. Leading the charge is BRIAN (Connor Kalopsis, \u201cThe Grinder\u201d), a condescending and pretentious 16-year-old math whiz, who thinks he already knows more about the world than Mike and Cay ever will, even though he\u2019s never actually been out of New Jersey. His 15-year-old sister, NICOLE (Ashley Boettcher, \u201cLost in Oz\u201d), is a deceptive and fiercely competitive language prodigy who can manipulate her parents into getting anything she wants. The youngest and most recently anointed child prodigy is MARC (Jack Stanton, \u201cThe Mick\u201d), a 10-year-old music savant. Introverted and idiosyncratic, he just wants everyone to leave him alone, so he can become the next Beethoven in peace. The only child not driving their parents crazy is eight-year-old LEILA (Oakley Bull, \u201cBeautiful Boy\u201d), who is decidedly not a genius. In fact, she might be kind of dumb. She\u2019s the only kid Mike and Cay even remotely understand. OUTMATCHED takes an honest and heightened look at every parent\u2019s worst fear \u2013 that they\u2019re \u201cruining\u201d their kids. When you have children with the type of gifts that can change the world, the pressure is really on. Raise them right, and these kids could cure cancer, stop global warming or invent time travel. But screw it up, and you could unleash three new super villains into the universe \u2013 good luck!<\/p>\n
