On paper, the 3.7 adults 18-49 rating for the premiere of NBC’s “Up All Night” was a positive.<\/p>\n
While the show did receive lead-in support from the “America’s Got Talent” finale, a benefit it will not have in the coming weeks, its rating average actually outpaced that of the two-hour “Got Talent.”<\/p>\n
Its retention from the final half-hour of the talent show was also respectable.<\/p>\n
But upon further inspection, there is definitely cause for concern. The show absolutely bled viewers from start-to-finish, never a good sign for a premiere that is supposed to hook the curious audience.<\/p>\n
Travis Yanan reports that “All Night”‘s first fifteen minutes averaged a 4.2 rating with 12.6 million viewers, while the second portion fell sharply to a 3.3 with 9.3 million.<\/p>\n
