{"id":12718,"date":"2011-09-14T11:10:44","date_gmt":"2011-09-14T16:10:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.headlineplanet.com\/home\/?p=12718"},"modified":"2011-09-14T11:11:34","modified_gmt":"2011-09-14T16:11:34","slug":"cws-ringer-premiere-ratings-dont-impress-90210-still-weak","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/headlineplanet.com\/home\/2011\/09\/14\/cws-ringer-premiere-ratings-dont-impress-90210-still-weak\/","title":{"rendered":"CW&#8217;s &#8220;Ringer&#8221; Premiere Ratings Don&#8217;t Impress, &#8220;90210&#8221; Still Weak"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Another season, another disappointing ratings update for The CW.<\/p>\n<p>Heavily-hyped new series &#8220;Ringer,&#8221; which represented &#8220;Buffy&#8221; star Sarah Michelle Gellar&#8217;s return to television, only delivered a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating in its premiere with 2.7 million viewers.<\/p>\n<p>While those numbers are technically solid by the very-discounted CW standards, they are unimpressive for a series premiere&#8211;especially one that received ample promotion and aired opposite limited broadcast competition.<\/p>\n<p>The CW&#8217;s &#8220;Hellcats,&#8221; which did not land a second season, premiered to the same demo rating last season.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;90210,&#8221; meanwhile, saw little growth in its return to Tuesdays.  At a 0.8 rating with 1.6 million viewers, the show was ahead of some low points from last season but down from the previous year&#8217;s premiere.
