ABC’s “American Housewife,” which last aired on February 26, will return with an original installment on March 19.<\/p>\n

The episode will feature a connection to another ABC television series.<\/p>\n

Fittingly entitled “American Idol,” the episode chronicles Taylor’s (Meg Donnelly) pursuit of success on the hit reality competition series.<\/p>\n

“While Greg enlists Oliver and Anna-Kat\u2019s help to drum up new recruits for the Westport Historical Guild, Katie does her best to support Taylor\u2019s dreams of becoming the next American Idol,” says the official synopsis.<\/p>\n

In an earlier press release, ABC noted that “American Idol” principals Ryan Seacrest, Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie will make cameos on the episode.<\/p>\n

To hype the broadcast, ABC recently shared a collection of photos from the episode. The photos primarily focus on the “American Housewife” characters rather than the “Idol” guests, but one shot does include Lionel Richie.<\/p>\n
