Playing up Kevin Nash’s surprise return at WWE Summerslam, WWE.com has a feature that questions which on-air character was responsible for inviting the former nWo member to the party.<\/p>\n
WWE teases Alberto Del Rio, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon as the strongest possibilities. In the case of Del Rio, it notes that Nash could have viewed money as a motivation to help the Money in the Bank holder cash in his briefcase. Of course, it also paints the scenario as somewhat unlikely–“After a 20-year legendary career of his own, Nash probably doesn\u2019t need the cash.”<\/p>\n
For Triple H, it explains that WWE’s COO might have held some anger towards Punk for his disparaging remarks towards the McMahon-Helmsley clan.<\/p>\n
“Even though the look of shock and disbelief on his face would indicate Triple H had no knowledge of either Kevin Nash\u2019s or Alberto Del Rio\u2019s actions, The Game\u2019s Hall of Fame career proves he can be dangerously duplicitous,” reads the story.<\/p>\n
And, in the case of Stephanie, it also highlights CM Punk’s insults as a motivation, before noting, “Was [a plan to cost Punk the title] what Stephanie and her husband were speaking about moments before the main event? Is this the rebirth of the McMahon-Helmsley Era in the very same city where their marriage was shockingly revealed?”<\/p>\n
