This week’s episode received a lesser (but still strong) lead-in from “Grey’s Anatomy” — but still matched last week’s solid performance in the key adults 18-49 demographic. It, moreover, gained<\/i> in overall viewership.<\/p>\n
According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Thursday’s “A Million Little Things” drew a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 5.44 million overall viewers. Last week’s episode drew a 1.1 and 5.22 million.<\/p>\n
“A Million Little Things” actually ranked as network’s #1 adults 18-49 performer in the 9PM hour. It trailed CBS’ comedies (one of which, albeit, was a “Big Bang Theory” re-run) for second in total viewership at 9PM.<\/p>\n
Airing on Thursdays, the past two “A Million Little Things” episodes have drawn more viewers than any of the show’s Tuesday night airings. They both tied the show’s Tuesday high in adults 18-49 (for the series premiere).<\/p>\n
The size of the “Grey’s” lead-in is clearly helping, but the show is still performing well in context. Numbers for the past two “A Million Little Things” episodes actually compare favorably to what previous timeslot occupant “Station 19” drew this fall, and that show is a “Grey’s” spin-off produced by the same Shondaland house.<\/p>\n
As noted, this week’s “Grey’s” drew a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating and 6.94 million overall viewers. The numbers trail the 1.9 and 7.07 million posted by last week’s midseason premiere but still ranked as the night’s top show in adults 18-49.<\/p>\n
“How To Get Away With Murder” closed the night with a 0.6 rating and 2.74 million viewers, trailing the 0.7 rating and 2.84 million mark drawn last week.
