Predictably, the “Watch the Throne” collaboration with rap superstars Jay-Z and Kanye West will dominate next week’s Billboard 200.<\/p>\n
Based on its opening day performance on iTunes, “Throne” is pacing for at least 500-550,000 first-week sales, Hits Daily Double reports. Since data on the physical disc will not be available until its release later in the week, the estimate is not as refined as usual.<\/p>\n
Still, nothing else will come close on the sales chart.<\/p>\n
That is not to say nobody else will post an impressive debut. Luke Bryan follows Eric Church with another impressive bow for a male country artist. His “Tailgates and Tanlines” looks good for 125-130,000, essentially the same range that was predicted for Church and Blake Shelton earlier this summer.<\/p>\n
The “NOW 39” compilation will be close behind with 100-110,000. Far behind that will be the soundtrack to the 3D “Glee” concert movie, which is pacing for only 25-30,000.<\/p>\n
