Given the massive boost in popularity for the show’s cast members, it seemed pretty safe to say that Netflix’s Spanish original “Elite” reached a large audience.<\/p>\n
It was not until this week, however, that Netflix provided specific insight into the size of that audience.<\/p>\n
Per a Tweet from its “See What’s Next” news account, Netflix revealed that “Elite” attracted an audience of 20 million households in its first four weeks on the platform.<\/p>\n
The show premiered on October 5, 2018.<\/p>\n
Something of a cross between “Gossip Girl” and “How To Get Away With Murder,” the series follows a group of students at an elite Spanish secondary school. Due to an incident at their school, three working class students receive the opportunity to attend said school. Their arrival triggers drama, love triangles, and, ultimately, a murder.<\/p>\n
