Adele’s long-running holdover “21” could claim another week at number one on the Billboard 200 Album Sales chart, as none of the newcomers will record impressive sales.<\/p>\n
In fact, the only potential challenger for the top spot is Eric Church’s current chart-leader “Chief,” which bowed last week to more than 140,000 copies.<\/p>\n
According to Hits Daily Double, which forecasts weekly sales figures based on opening-day sales reports, Trace Adkins’ “Proud to Be Here” will likely lead all newcomers. It is pacing for 40-45,000.<\/p>\n
Just shy of that forecasted total is that of Mat Kearney’s “Young Love,” which looks good for 35-40,000. The cast album for Nickelodeon’s “Victorious” should debut in the same range.<\/p>\n
Behind that is O.A.R.’s “King,” which should open to 25-30,000 first-week sales. The band, which makes its debut on Wind-Up Records with this album, has never made a real mark on album sales charts; its critically-panned predecessor “All Sides,” which featured the mild hit single “Shattered,” opened to 33,000 copies and 13th on the sales chart. Prior to that, “Stories of a Stranger” peaked at 40 on the Billboard 200 while “In Between Now and Then” got as high as 54.<\/p>\n
