Widely regarded as the definitive US songs chart, the Billboard Hot 100 ranks songs based on combined activity from sales, streams and radio airplay.<\/p>\n

Songs that reach the chart’s Top 10 often post particularly solid numbers in at least two — if not all three — of those categories.<\/p>\n

They do not, however, necessarily perform equally well<\/i> in all areas. Depending on the weighting, a song with outstanding streaming numbers but modest sales and radio numbers can chart better than a more “balanced” hit.<\/p>\n

Given that reality, Headline Planet decided to explore how this week’s Top 10 songs are performing in the three component areas.<\/p>\n
