CBS celebrated the start of November by revealing airdates for this year’s holiday specials.<\/p>\n
The lineup includes the network’s annual broadcasts of “Frosty The Snowman” and “Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer,” as well as Garth Brooks’ Notre Dame concert special, “A Home For The Holidays,” and the Kennedy Center Honors.<\/p>\n
Detailed below, the lineup commences with the network’s November 22 Thanksgiving Day Parade broadcast. Keltie Knight and Kevin Frazier are hosting the coverage, which will include performances by Broadway casts.<\/p>\n
Thursday, Nov. 22:<\/p>\n THE THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE ON CBS (9:00 AM-12:00 PM, live ET\/8:00-11:00 AM, live CT\/7:00-10:00 AM, live MT\/1:00 PM-4:00 PM, delayed PT)<\/p>\n A CBS Thanksgiving tradition in its 58th year, the special, to be anchored by ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT host Kevin Frazier and correspondent Keltie Knight, will feature portions of the 92nd annual Macy\u2019s Thanksgiving Day Parade, live from New York City. Performers during the parade will include the casts of the Broadway hit musical \u201cDear Evan Hanson\u201d and newcomer \u201cKing Kong.\u201d A special performance will be announced closer to air. (New)<\/p>\n Friday, Nov. 23:<\/p>\n FROSTY THE SNOWMAN (8:00-8:30 PM, ET\/PT)<\/p>\n Frosty, that \u201cjolly, happy soul\u201d whose old silk hat full of magic has turned him into a musical Christmas legend, once again demonstrates his unique showmanship. Narrated by Jimmy Durante, the special also includes the voices of Jackie Vernon (as Frosty) and Billy De Wolfe (as Professor Hinkle). Britney Spears, James Woods, Leah Remini and Jerry Stiller are among the additional stars to lend their voices. It recounts the tale of a shy reindeer whose Christmas spirit is dampened because his shiny nose has made him the laughing stock of all of Christmasville. In \u201cPioneer Women\u201d (originally aired March 31, 1952), Lucy and Ethel\u2019s hopes of joining the posh Society Matrons\u2019 League lead to a bet with their husbands over which sex \u2013 the men or the women \u2013 had it harder living in a bygone era.<\/p>\n THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW \u2013 NOW IN LIVING COLOR!
