For the fourth time this year, a song has broken the Mediabase record for most single-week plays at alternative radio.<\/p>\n

Imagine Dragons’ “Natural,” which spends a second week at #1 on the Mediabase alternative airplay chart, received 3,715 spins during the September 2-8 tracking period. The count tops last week’s mark by 114 plays.<\/p>\n

It also narrowly breaks the single-week spin record of 3,674 set by Weezer’s “Africa” during the August 5-11 tracking period. “Africa” broke its own record from the previous week (3,520 spins).<\/p>\n

“Africa” broke the record of 3,495 set by Portugal. The Man’s “Live In The Moment” earlier this year.<\/p>\n

Up two places, AJR’s “Burn The House Down” earns #2 on this week’s chart. It received 2,934 spins (+60). “Africa” holds at #3 with 2,886 spins (-152), while a spin count of 2,520 (+105) lifts Walk The Moon’s “Kamikaze” two spots to #4.<\/p>\n

Dennis Lloyd’s “Nevermind” also rises two places, in its case moving from #7 to #5.
