Having easily defended all of Hamill&#8217;s takedown attempts, Jackson had the fight where he wanted it&#8211;on the feet.  Yet while he was indeed able to connect with some big punches and knees, his offense seemed to lack the &#8220;spark&#8221; it would have taken to score a stoppage.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Rampage&#8221; blamed a hand injury for some hesitation on offense; he also applauded Hamill&#8217;s toughness.  All three judges scored the fight 30-27 for the victor.<\/p>\n<p>Elsewhere, Frank Mir achieved a dominant victory over Roy Nelson but also came up short of scoring a stoppage.
