A Top 3 hit in Anne-Marie’s UK home, “2002” will soon go for adds at US pop radio.<\/p>\n
WB Records has set an August 7 impact date for the song, which appears on the artist’s debut album “Speak Your Mind.”<\/p>\n
Already receiving airplay from several stations (including Honolulu’s 102.7 Da Bomb and Radio Disney), “2002” will be the follow-up to Anne-Marie’s Marshmello collaboration “FRIENDS.”<\/p>\n
That song is currently #2 on the Mediabase pop radio airplay chart. While it is still gaining in spins, it may not have an opportunity to reach #1. Maroon 5’s “Girls Like You (featuring Cardi B)” is poised to take over the #1 spot this week, and insofar as it is gaining airplay at an even faster rate, it will doubtfully cede its throne before “FRIENDS” begins a fall of its own.<\/p>\n
Even with a #2 peak, “FRIENDS” still ranks as Anne-Marie’s most successful hit at US pop radio.
