“Shawn Mendes,” the new, self-titled album from Shawn Mendes, predictably won this week’s US sales and consumption races.<\/p>\n
According to Hits Daily Double and BuzzAngle, the album sold approximately 142K pure US copies during the May 25-31 tracking period.<\/p>\n
With TEA (track sales\/10) and SEA (track streams\/1500) included, “Shawn Mendes” generated about 182K in total first-week consumption units.<\/p>\n
Due Sunday, Billboard’s more authoritative data may differ slightly from that reported by Hits. The discrepancies will not, however, affect the overall outcome on either chart.<\/p>\n
The pure sales total will earn “Shawn Mendes” #1 on Top Album Sales, while the consumption tally will secure a #1 bow on the Billboard 200.<\/p>\n
