The two-part “American Idol” season finale begins Sunday night.<\/p>\n
Over the course of the two-hour broadcast, contestants Maddie Poppe, Caleb Lee Hutchinson and Gabby Barrett will each perform three songs. One will be a new dedication to their hometown, one will be a reprise of their favorite performance from the season, and one will be their original single.<\/p>\n
The contestants were mentored by radio personality Bobby Bones ahead of Sunday’s broadcast. The winner will be revealed during Monday night’s results finale.<\/p>\n
In addition to performances by the three finalists, Sunday’s episode will also feature a medley of original songs by three of this season’s other contestants.<\/p>\n
