ABC cancelled a handful of series Friday<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It also renewed several shows.<\/p>\n

The network officially booked “For The People,” “Station 19,” “black-ish,” “Speechless,” “Splitting Up Together,” and “Fresh Off The Boat” for 2018-19.<\/p>\n

The “Station 19,” “black-ish” and “FOTB” renewals were all considered virtual locks going into upfront season.<\/p>\n

The “For The People” order, on the other hand, comes as a surprise. The show has greatly struggled from a ratings standpoint, offering no real improvement on previous timeslot occupant (and now cancelled) “Kevin (Probably) Saves The World” despite airing on a night made stronger by “Roseanne.”<\/p>\n
