According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, “The Voice” drew a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 8.28 million overall viewers.<\/p>\n
The 1.5 rating ties the series low for a regular episode — and ranks as a new low for a performance show.<\/p>\n
Last week’s “The Voice” drew a 1.8 rating and 9.35 million viewers.<\/p>\n
Airing head-to-head, ABC’s “American Idol” drew a 1.4 rating and averaged 7.59 million viewers. The demo rating matches last week’s episode, while the viewership represents a gain from that broadcast’s 6.97 million mark.<\/p>\n
“Idol” seemed to deal a particular blow to “The Voice” in the second hour. “American Idol” gained in the demo (rising from a 1.3 to a 1.4) and added viewers (7.40 million to 7.77 million) at 9PM. “The Voice,” on the other hand, held flat in adults 18-49 and lost viewers (from 8.48 million to 8.07 million) in hour two.<\/p>\n
“Idol” actually tied “The Voice” in adults 18-49 from 9:30-10PM (both shows drew a 1.4 rating).<\/p>\n
