While it was still a ratings monster, this week’s “Roseanne” drew a smaller audience than last week’s premiere. It was also restricted to the 8-8:30PM half-hour; last week’s premiere occupied the entire 8-9PM hour.<\/p>\n
It thus represented a less daunting (though still powerful) competitor for NBC’s “The Voice.”<\/p>\n
The music competition series, fittingly, enjoyed a slight week-over-week gain.<\/p>\n
According to national data posted by Showbuzz, Tuesday’s “The Voice” drew a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 9.43 million overall viewers.<\/p>\n
The numbers top the 1.7 rating and 9.02 million viewer mark drawn by last Tuesday’s episode. Granted, they are still down from the 2.2 and 10.96 million viewer figure posted by the March 20 episode, which did not face competition from the “Roseanne” revival.<\/p>\n
Despite the slightly increased lead-in support (and weaker competition from ABC), 9PM drama “Rise” could not muster a gain in the demo. This week’s episode drew a 0.8 rating and averaged 4.42 million viewers; last week’s was good for a 0.8 and 4.34 million.<\/p>\n
10PM drama “Chicago Med,” on the other hand, enjoyed a slight increase.
