Based on opening day sales, Hits Daily Double forecasts “Wasting Light” attaining a first week sales tally of 215-225,000. If sales hold up to that projection, “Wasting Light” will easily surpass the 168,000 opening-week performance for “Echoes.”<\/p>\n
The album is also a lock for the top spot on the Billboard 200.<\/p>\n
Alison Krauss & Union Station follows as the next best newcomer, with “Paper Airplane” tracking for a debut in the 60-65,000 range. Hits expects Paul Simon’s “So Beautiful or So What” to follow with 55-60,000.<\/p>\n
Mana’s “Drama Y Luz” is likely for 50-55,000, while Vevo favorite Jessie J should score 30-35,000 for “Who You Are.”<\/p>\n
