On Saturday, Hits Daily Double shared initial US album sales and consumption projections for the new “Black Panther” album.<\/p>\n
The publication said that the album was on track to sell 35-40,000 pure US copies this week. The album was meanwhile poised to generate 110-120,000 in total first-week consumption units (sales + track sales\/10 + track streams\/1500).<\/p>\n
Tuesday, Hits revised its projections for the album.<\/p>\n
“Black Panther” is now set to debut with 44-49,000 in pure sales and 145-155,000 in total consumption.<\/p>\n
The consumption figure will establish “Black Panther” as a dominant #1 on the Billboard 200. No other album is expected to generate over 80,000 in total consumption this week.<\/p>\n
The pure sales projection gives “Black Panther” a shot at #1 on Top Album Sales, although the album will face more competition in that regard.
