The Foo Fighters became the latest rock outfit to publicly deny their songs for use on FOX’s hit musical comedy “Glee.”<\/p>\n
Joining Kings of Leon and Slash, the veteran rockers deemed the show–and its creator Ryan Murphy–unworthy of their support.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s every band\u2019s right, you shouldn\u2019t have to do fucking Glee,” said lead singer Dave Grohl in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. \u201cAnd then the guy who created Glee is so offended that we\u2019re not, like, begging to be on his fucking show\u2026 fuck that guy for thinking anybody and everybody should want to do Glee.\u201d<\/p>\n
Unlike some others who have spoken out on the show, Grohl confirmed that he did watch some of an episode–\u201cI watched 10 minutes. It\u2019s not my thing.”<\/p>\n
The former Nirvana drummer’s bigger issue, however, is with “Glee”‘s Ryan Murphy himself. In the same interview, Grohl took Murphy to task for insulting others, like guitarist Slash and rock band Kings of Leon, simply because they did not want to license songs to the show.<\/p>\n
He adds, “And it\u2019s just like, Dude, maybe not everyone loves Glee. Me included.\u201d<\/p>\n
